June 12 TU Seminar Teaches Small Business About Unemployment Law

Many Oklahoma employers – especially those without in-house legal counsel or human resource professionals – deal with employment issues daily, and what they don’t know could hurt them. “Employment Law for the Employer with Five Employees to 45,” sponsored by the Continuing Legal Education department of The University of Tulsa College of Law, will address those issues on Wednesday, June 12.

Scheduled for 6-8 p.m. in John Rogers Hall, 3120 E. Fourth Place, the conference will provide information about discrimination, harassment, drug and alcohol testing, wage and hour law, unemployment and workers compensation laws.

Leading expert Kristen L. Brightmire, with the Tulsa law firm of Doerner, Saunders, Daniel and Anderson, will discuss how employers can minimize their risk of being sued by an employee – prospective, current or former.
