Changing the red ink of bounced checks and uncollectibles to black is one way of boosting any business’s bottom line. “Hot Checks and Other Bad Debts – How to Collect,” a seminar sponsored by the Continuing Legal Education department of the University of Tulsa College of Law, is designed to do just that.
The conference is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, in John Rogers Hall, 3120 E. Fourth Place, on the TU campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Small-business owners will hear from an assistant district attorney about what to do with bad checks and how the check writers are prosecuted. An experienced debtor/creditor practitioner will discuss methods of collecting outstanding debts.
Registration is $35 per person. To register or for more information, contact Kelly Smakal at (918) 631-2902 or Sara Nole at (918) 631-5612, or visit TU-CLE@utulsa.edu.
