The American Constitution Society (ACS) will host a voter registration drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Allen Chapman Activity Center at Fifth Place and S. Gary Avenue on the TU campus.

The deadline for Oklahoma’s Feb. 3 presidential primary election has passed, but registration now would allow voters to participate in the general election Nov. 2.

“We will provide registration materials as well as information on voting procedure and polling place locations,” said Bruce Shalon, president of the local ACS chapter at the TU College of Law. “Regardless of party affiliation or views on the issues, we encourage everyone to participate in our democratic process.”

The American Constitution Society is a national organization of law students, law professors, practicing lawyers, and others who seek to revitalize and transform the legal debate – from classrooms to courtrooms – by countering what they consider to be the dominant conservative vision of American law today.
