Brigade General Harry M. Wyatt III was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on December 9 to the position of director of the Air National Guard of the United States.  He also was confirmed to the grade of Lieutenant General. 

Dwight L. Smith, a Tulsa lawyer, was appointed to a third consecutive term as chairperson of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Public Education.

Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe named Richard Blackstone Webber II as a new shareholder of the firm.  Webber has more than 20 years experience in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights with a specialty in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization cases.

Alexander G. Burlingame was elected one of eight partners at the law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P.  Burlingame is a public finance lawyer in the firm’s Cleveland office and serves as bond counsel to the Ohio Higher Educational Facilities Commission.

Kathy Lahmeyer, assistant district attorney for Rogers County will serve in District Attorney Gene Haynes’ office on child deprived cases.
