Joe Cox will speak at the Spring Multi-Currency Seminar at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Resort from May 29—31, 2009. Joe is board certified in Estate Planning and Administration and in Taxation by the Florida Bar. He was chosen by Florida Trend Magazine as one of the top 1.6% of lawyers in Florida and one of the top 34 Wills, Trusts, & Estate Planning lawyers. He was named as one of the top 100 attorneys in the nation by Worth Magazine.

Assistant Presiding Administrative Law Judge Brian Brendan Tully of the Arizona Office of Administrative Hearings was recently reappointed as Judge Pro Tempore of the Justice Courts of Maricopa County, Ariz.

Elliott N. Taylor has joined Parsons Behle & Latimer’s Salt Lake City office. Taylor is a member of the Corporate and Tax Department and represents clients in securities law, including initial offerings; limited or private offerings; periodic reporting compliance, secondary trading and blue sky requirements; consultation regarding securities law compliance; and capital formation and related securities matters. Before joining the firm, Taylor was executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel at Amerityre Corporation.

Cara Shimkus Hall, a principal of GH2 Architects in Tulsa, was one of 12 architects elevated by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) to its College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made contributions of national significance to the profession.

David R. Gillay was one of 12 associates elevated to partnership at the firm Barnes & Thornburg in Indianapolis, Ind. Gillay is a member of the environmental department and focuses on underground storage tank regulation, including Indiana’s Excess Liability Trust Fund; Brownfield’s projects; and remediation projects, dealing with soil, surface water and groundwater contamination.

Dunlap Codding added John Behles as a new associate. Behles focuses his practice on patent law, prosecuting patents before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

In Memoriam

Joseph Samuel Jondahl, age 71, died on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at his home in Tulsa, Okla. Joseph was born January 29, 1938 in Prague, Okla., the son of Raymond and Josephine Jondahl. His career encompassed law practice, residential and commercial construction and land development in Fort Smith, Ark., and Muskogee.

Daniel F. Lalli, of McAlester, Okla., died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in McAlester at the age of 68. Daniel was born January 26, 1941 to Paul and Dolly Rose (Daniels) Lalli in Oklahoma City. He married Anita Kroth December 26, 1964 in Ada, OK. He worked as an attorney and as a realtor in McAlester.
