  • Gave a speech entitled “Patent Law for Engineers” to the ENS Entrepreneurs and the Society of Women Engineers at TU’s College of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

  • Secured a grant from Resources for the Future and the National Energy Policy Institute to document and assess state public utility laws, regulations and precedents that could effect electric power generation capacity and mix and the extent to which their impact may have been altered by federal electric power restructuring policies.

  • Attended a working group session at UCLA for authors of the forthcoming Indian Law Stories, for which she is preparing a story on Winters v. United States, the 1908 case that established tribal reserved rights to water.
  • Published article “Practical Sovereignty, Political Sovereignty, and the Indian Tribal Energy Development and Self-Determination Act” in the TU Social Science Resource Network online journal.

Lectures and Addresses

  • Spoke at the Seventh Annual Doing Business in Indian Country conference sponsored by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation District Court on the topic of Tribal Energy Resource Agreements under the Indian Tribal Energy Development and Self Determination Act.
