Oklahoma Bar Foundation to Honor TU College of Law OBF Fellows Recipient at Nov. 4 Luncheon

Third-year law student Jessica V. Hunt will be recognized as the 2009 Oklahoma Bar Foundation Fellows scholarship recipient for The University of Tulsa College of Law. The award will be presented during the law school’s alumni luncheon held in conjunction with the Oklahoma Bar Association annual convention, Nov. 4, in Oklahoma City.

Hunt is a 1999 graduate of Skiatook High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from TU in 2003 and worked in human resources for the City of Owasso for four years before entering law school.

Hunt currently serves as president of the TU College of Law Board of Advocates, editor-in-chief of the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law, and as a law school student ambassador. She previously served as a justice for the TU Student Association Judicial Council and as treasurer for the Native American Law Student Association. She was selected “Best Subciter” by the board of the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law for 2009 and reached the semifinals of the 2008-2009 American Association for Justice regional moot court competition.

The luncheon, hosted by the TU College of Law, will be held at noon at the Sheraton Downtown in Oklahoma City. Tickets for the luncheon are $30 and can be purchased by calling (918) 631-3723.
