Volunteers Sought for Trial Competition, Feb. 12-14

Volunteers are needed to serve as witnesses and bailiffs for the National Trial Competition Regional that the Board of Advocates of The University of Tulsa College of Law will host in Tulsa, February 12-14.
Volunteers can be any person, other than students of the hosting law school, who is in their junior year of high school or older. No prior experience with mock trials or legal training is necessary.
Volunteers are needed for the following sessions:
• Friday, February 12 at the Tulsa County Courthouse, 500 S. Denver Ave.
o Round 1 – 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday, February 13 at the Tulsa County Courthouse
o Round 2 – 8:30 a.m.
o Round 3 – 1:00 p.m.
o Round 4 – 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday. February 14 at the Page Belcher Federal Building, 333 W. 4th St.
o Final Round – 10:30 a.m.
A volunteer orientation session will be held 30 minutes prior to each round. Volunteers will be asked to review a brief statement or deposition prior to the competition. There will be an opportunity for volunteers to speak with the competitor who will be examining them prior to participation. Use of printed witness statements or depositions will be allowed during the competition.
