Tuesday, May 10, 2011
The University of Tulsa College of Law graduates taking the Oklahoma Bar examination for the first time in February 2011 achieved a 100 percent pass rate, making TU number one among the state’s law schools.
In July 2010, 90 percent of TU graduates taking the exam for the first time passed.
"The extraordinary success on the bar exam is a direct result of the academic rigor of our program at TU, and our dedicated students and faculty deserve tremendous credit," said Janet Levit, Dean and Dean John Rogers Endowed Chair at the TU College of Law. "With this accomplishment, these graduates have taken the first step toward a fulfilling future in the legal profession."
TU is the only Oklahoma law school to achieve the 100 percent rate in the state this year.
"TU law students consistently demonstrate an ability to compete with students from around the nation," said Levit. "Our graduates excel on the bar exam and they are achieving great things in the profession."
