Friday, November 18, 2011
The University of Tulsa College of Law student team of Rebecca Hill and Nicholaus Hancock advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in this month's National Health Law Moot Court Competition at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
Students Isaac Shields and Casper den Harder also competed, and student Brian Shepherd served as alternate and student coach. The team was coached by Marguerite Chapman, TU Law professor; Bryan Harrington, attorney with Kivell, Rayment & Francis; and Jeff Wolfe, U.S. Administrative Law Judge.
The competition consists of 30-minute rounds of appellate advocacy, and the teams are required to submit a brief similar to what they would submit to the U.S. Supreme Court.
