Shonday Harmon receives Outstanding Graduate Student Award at ONASHE Conference

The Oklahoma Native American Students in Higher Education Conference was held February 21-23 at NEO A&M in Miami, Oklahoma

Shonday Harmon, program director for TU College of Law's Master of Jurisprudence in Indian Law and Master of Jurisprudence in Energy Law programs, was named Outstanding Graduate Student in recognition of outstanding leadership and service at the Oklahoma Native American Students in Higher Education Conference, February 21-23, at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. 

Shonday's daughter, Jordan, a 2014 TU Law applicant, received the Outstanding Leadership Award for Upperclassmen in recognition of outstanding leadership and service.

Eleven colleges and universities were represented at the conference, and approximately 150 students presented from Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico.  The awards were given based on student and staff nominations and votes.
