Academic Externships
Academic Externships
The College of Law offers students the opportunity to earn academic credit through various externship programs in which students work in legal workplaces under the worksite supervision of a licensed attorney and the academic supervision of the College of Law faculty member who directs the externship program selected by the student. Externship options include:

Legal Exernships (link),
in which students may earn 2 to12 credit hours in a semester or 2 to 10 hours in a summer term by working with a law firm, business, government agency, non-profit organization, or non-goverment organization within the United States or abroad;

Judicial Externships (link),
in which students may earn 2 to 5 hours in a semester or summer term by working with a federal, state, or tribal court;

Students seeking to acquire Legal or Judicial externships for the Summer or Fall semesters may enroll up to the first day of the externship course component upon completion and approval of the required documents.
