Study Abroad (Geneva)
An exciting curriculum of comparative and international law courses awaits you at the Geneva Institute on Indigenous Peoples Law, offered in conjunction with the Study Abroad Program of the Comparative and International Law Center. Earn up to five hours of credit in classes taught by members of the Native American Law Center of the University of Tulsa College of Law and other prominent American and European law professors, attorneys, and judges. The flexible curriculum is composed of two sessions of two weeks each; students may enroll in either two-week session or in both sessions for a total of four weeks. One session focuses on the law of indigenous peoples; the other on business and human rights law.
Geneva, which has been described as the smallest major city in the world, combines sophistication, beauty, and old world charm. With over 200 international governmental and non-governmental organizations, Geneva is uniquely suited to host a study abroad program of this nature. In addition to being the European headquarters for the United Nations, the city is the home of the headquarters for the World Trade Organization, the International Labor Organization, the World Health Organization, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, the International Commission of Jurists, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the World Intellectual Property Organization and many more.
