TU Law student Courtney Eagan-Smith's seminar paper will be published in the Spring Issue of the Tulsa Law Review. The title of Ms Eagan-Smith's paper is A House With No Walls: The Federal Government's Role in Indian Housing.  It explores the development of the federal government's responsibility to Indian tribes in regard to housing, the legislative actions that have been taken by the federal government concerning housing for American Indians - specifically the paper focuses on the Native American Housing Assitance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) and why this is the best legislation thus far, but it still falls short of the tribes' needs which is proven by the housing conditions that persist today in Indian County.  The paper concludes by discussing ways to make NAHASDA more effective.  Congratulations Courtney!
