 Professor G. William Rice |
An article in the Atlantic today regarding President Obama and Native American interests quotes TU Law Professor and Native American Law Center Co-Director G. William Rice and Tim Pleasant, Concord Law School Professor and Co-Director of TU Law's online Masters of Jurisprudence in Indian Law, a partner program with Concord.
Much of the article centers on the Department of Justice's prosecution policy regarding Indian use of eagle feathers for cultural and religious purposes.
The article also notes the naming of five Native Americans, including University of Arkansas School of Law Dean and TU Law Alumna Stacy Leeds (JD '97), to a commission concerning the federal management of Indian trusts.
