Shirley Hudson Knopp Scholarship

 

In loving memory of Wash E. Hudson.

Shirley Hudson Knopp (BA ’57) was the granddaughter of Washington E. “Wash” Hudson, who came to Oklahoma Territory as a young lawyer in1902, served in the House of Representatives (1915-1917) and the state Senate (1923-1927), and played an instrumental role in Oklahoma’s water resources development.  In addition to his distinguished career as a layer and statesman, “Wash” Hudson served as Dean of TU College of Law from its founding in 1923 until its merger with The University of Tulsa in 1943.  Established in 2007, Charles Roger Knopp honors the memory of Shirley Hudson Knopp and Washington E. “Wash” Hudson by establishing a scholarship in their names.  The scholarship is designated to assist deserving law students.
