A law school must provide the legal community on and off campus with opportunities to hear distinguished speakers. Tulsa's extracurricular events include:
- A biannual conference on the Supreme Court
- The annual Buck Colbert Franklin Lecture
- The annual John W. Hager Distinguished Lecture series
- Health Law symposiums
- National Energy-Environment Law and Policy Institute symposiums
- The United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit occasionally hears arguments in our Moot Court room
- The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals hears oral arguments in the Wm. Stuart Price and Michael C. Turpen Courtroom
- U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Clarence Thomas, Stephen Breyer, and Sandra Day O'Connor have spoken to our legal community
TU regularly brings distinguished speakers and In-Residence guests to campus. We also ensure that our students have the opportunity to meet these legal giants in the congenial atmosphere of receptions or dinners. Recent speakers and guests include:
- The Honorable Sandra Day O’Connor, Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice
- Michael Greco, President, American Bar Association
- The Honorable Guido Calabresi, Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit

- Richard A. Posner, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
- The Honorable Vicki Miles-LaGrange, United States District Judge, Western District of Oklahoma
