Faculty Accomplishments:
Professor Sam Halabi’s article The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010: Rulemaking in the Shadow of Incentive-Based Regulation will be published in Volume 38 of the Rutgers Law Record.
Professor Judith Royster spoke on Tribal Energy Development at the William Mitchell College of Law 1st annual Indian Law Conference on October 25.
Student Accomplishments:
TU 2Ls Russell Ramzel and Kenneth Elmore won National Best Brief Award and third place overall in National Health Law Moot Court Competition.
Philip Tinker received the 2010 OBA Outstanding Student Award. This award honors the most outstanding law students from each of the law schools in Oklahoma. Phillip also has accepted a clerkship for Chief Judge of the U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Thomas Moratto (JD ’12) and Robert Haslam (JD’12) attended the Institute for Energy Law Annual Energy Litigation Conference in Houston on October 12th. The students were sponsored by the Chesapeake fund. Moratto will join Chesapeake as a land man intern in summer 2011.
Valerie Dye (JD ’10) received the OBA Family Law Award and Tralynna Scott (JD/MBA ’13) received the OBA Tax Award at the Annual OBA Meeting held in Tulsa.
