Mobile MLIC App
In the Mabee Legal Information Center's continuing effort to be "an active and responsive force in the educational life of the law school," we are excited to announce the release of our mobile site and app. This app recognizes the technological trend of accessing information on-the-go and provides a platform for students and faculty to search our catalog and access mobile-friendly research databases.
Get the app here, and watch a video highlighting the app's features on the MLIC's new YouTube page.
To further our mobile initiative, the MLIC is also launching a "Floor Guide to Materials." Next to each major collection in the library is a QR code linking to a webpage where the student can find general information about a specific collection, such as how to use it, cite it, and update it.
To promote our efforts, the MLIC will be hosting a day of app-launch events on Thursday, November 1st. This will include an "Apps Workshop" wherein Westlaw, Lexis, and other useful mobile apps for students will be demonstrated. A "QR Code Scavenger Hunt" will introduce students to the QR codes throughout the library and encourage adoption of new technologies. Lastly, an "App Launch Party" in the Pit will provide students an opportunity to download the app and converse with librarians.
