The University of Tulsa Collins College of Business will host Ido Aharoni, Israeli ambassador and consul general to the New York area, as he presents “Israel: Broadening the Conversation." The lecture is free and open to the public.

Ido AharoniAharoni will discuss how Israel's presence is changing as an integral component of the intense geopolitical conversation about the Middle East, now celebrated worldwide and more relative to a younger audience. The lecture will cover the emerging new conversation about Israel, its impact on Israel's performance and its relevance to Jewish life in America. Aharoni will present new research on Israel's image in the United States based on data compiled and analyzed by the Young & Rubicam research team.

As consul general, Aharoni represents the state of Israel to communities throughout the tri-state areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He has served as a member of Israel's Foreign Services since 1991 and as senior adviser to Israel's foreign minister and vice prime minister. He also worked as consul for media and public affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in New York, later contributing to a paradigm shift in the perception of Israel's public image in Israel and the United States.
