Finance Undergraduate Certificate
This program prepares individuals for entry-level positions in the finance industry, or enhances the finance skills necessary for advancement in existing positions. Areas of study include corporate finance, investments and portfolio management, financial institutions, international finance, and risk management.
Those admitted to this program must either hold a bachelor's degree or have sufficient course work for junior standing at the University of Tulsa. Certification requires that students complete 15 hours of accredited course work in finance with a minimum 2.0 grade point average in all course work as well as in courses used to fulfill certification requirements.
Students must successfully complete the prerequisite courses (see below) before enrolling in the certificate courses.
Following are the required courses (6 hours) and the elective courses (9 hours--select three courses from the list).
Students must successfully complete the prerequisites listed below before enrolling in 3000 and 4000 level Finance courses.
