The Department of Finance and Operations Management is one of three departments within the Collins College of Business. Courses are offered in the areas of corporate finance, investments, financial institutions, and risk management. Undergraduate Finance majors may concentrate in:
1) General Finance
2) Corporate Finance
3) Investments and Portfolio Management.
The goals of the Department are to prepare students for successful careers in Finance, to engage in meaningful research, and to provide continuing education to business people. To accomplish these goals, students are exposed not only to the information required to perform entry-level positions, but also to the financial theory necessary for providing the knowledge base required for a lifetime of learning.
