QEP Resources CEO Chuck Stanley to speak Dec. 1

Chuck StanleyCharles B. "Chuck" Stanley, president and chief executive officer of QEP Resources Inc., will speak Dec. 1 at the Friends of Finance Executive Speaker Series luncheon at The University of Tulsa. QEP Resources Inc. is a leading independent natural gas and oil exploration and production company.

"Mr. Stanley has more than 26 years of experience in the international and domestic upstream and midstream oil and gas industry," said Jeff Holman, Friends of Finance president. "I'm sure many business people in the Tulsa area will be eager to hear his insights on an industry that is so integral to our economy."

QEP is focused in the Rocky Mountain and Midcontinent regions of the United States. The company gathers, compresses, treats and processes natural gas.

Stanley is a past-president of Western Energy Alliance (formerly known as IPAMS, the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States); a board member of the American Exploration and Production Council; a member of the executive committee and chair of the technical committee of America’s Natural Gas Alliance; and a member of the executive committee of the US Oil & Gas Association. He has also a director of Hecla Mining Co., a gold and silver mining company.

Friends of Finance Executive Speaker Series luncheons are open to the public, but reservations are required. Check-in starts at 11:15 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Allen Chapman Activity Center at TU.

The cost for each luncheon is $20 for Friends of Finance members and $30 for nonmembers. Membership dues for the 2010-11 year are $75 for those in the Tulsa area and $10 for those who live outside Tulsa’s 50-mile radius.
