Timothy L. Urban
Timothy L. Urban
Timothy L. Urban is the J. Bradley Oxley Endowed Chair in Business at The University of Tulsa. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in operations management, management science, and business statistics. His primary research interests are in the areas of inventory modeling and facility design; he has been ranked as the eighth most productive researcher of operations management (according to a survey published in the Journal of Operations Management). In addition to serving on the faculty at TU, he has served as department chair and interim director of graduate business studies. Prior to coming to the university, Tim spent ten years in industry with General Dynamics, Johnson & Johnson, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He currently serves as Editor for the International Journal of Inventory Research and as North American Regional Editor for the International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management. He is a member of INFORMS, MSOM, POMS, IIE, and ISIR, and is a registered professional engineer.
