TU professor awarded for his teaching in athletic training
University of Tulsa Associate Professor of Athletic Training Greg Gardner will be inducted into the Mid-American Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame on March 14 in Tulsa.
Gardner, who also serves as associate director of the TU School of Nursing, will be honored for his service and dedication to the profession of athletic training. His professional involvement includes serving on several committees and boards that regulate the various aspects of athletic training program accreditation. He recently served as U.S. Vice President of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy.
Gardner earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree from the University of Arizona and doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has received multiple accolades in his field as well as the Outstanding Faculty Member award at TU.
