My research background includes publications in state, national, and international peer-reviewed journals including content related to fitness perceptions, sport skill analysis, role modeling, fitness facility membership, and gender issues in athletic training. I have presented my research findings at state, regional, and national levels. My professional background also includes work in hospital wellness programs and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. I have taught at the university level for approximately 20 years in the areas of exercise science and physical education teacher preparation. I am an active member of the Oklahoma Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (OAHPERD) and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD).
