Ron Walker
I have been a clinical assistant professor of Athletic Training at The University of Tulsa since August, 2005. Prior to this appointment, I served as the director of the CAAHEP accredited Athletic Training Education Program at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Prior to my appointment at SWOSU, I served as an outpatient athletic trainer for Eastern Oklahoma Sports medicine Center and, additionally, provided all sports medicine services to Union Public Schools. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tulsa in 1995 and in 1996 earned my Master of Arts, in Education, also from the University of Tulsa; I am currently pursuing my doctorate of education at Oklahoma State University with research interests in clinical education and the impact of gender. I currently serve as an accreditation site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and on the Athletic Training Regulatory Conference planning panel. I am president of the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers Association, and on the board of directors for the Mid-America Athletic Trainers Association.

In conjunction with physicians and other rehabilitation professionals, provided:
- Daily facilitation of outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, patient education, and physician consultation
- Clinical instruction for medical, physical therapy, and athletic training students
- Documentation of all medical and educational endeavors
- Assisted in provision of sports medicine services to the Northeastern State, Oral Roberts University, The University of Tulsa, and the Tulsa Drillers
- Provided all athletic training services to Union Public Schools through contractual agreement on daily basis
