TU Celebrates the Official Opening of the Lorton Performance Center

Dedication celebration to be held Sept. 16 & 18, free and open to the public.

The University of Tulsa celebrates the inaugural season of the Roxana Rózsa and Robert Eugene Lorton Performance Center on Friday, September 16 and Sunday, September 18, 2011. All events are free and open to the public.

During the dedication weekend, TU students, alumni, faculty and guests will perform in all the venues within the center.

The 77,000-square-foot Lorton Performance Center, designed in the style of grand European opera houses, features a 700-seat concert hall with full performance stage, rehearsal and recitals halls, practice rooms and faculty offices for the School of Music and Department of Film Studies.

TU alumni will join students, faculty and special guests in performances throughout both days. All events during the "Dedication Weekend, A Celebration of the Arts" are free and open to the public.

Events scheduled for Friday, September 16 and Sunday, September 18 are listed below. All events take place in the Lorton Performance Center.
