Writing requirement.  Each incoming student completes a specialized course called a First Seminar during the first year at The University of Tulsa. The First Seminar provides an intimate atmosphere in which to study with a faculty member and underscores the enduring relationship between writing and learning by requiring several papers to be written during the semester.
