Deaf Education Programs of Study


The deaf education program prepares teachers of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, students will be eligible to apply for certification from the State of Oklahoma to teach deaf and hard of hearing students. The program is nationally accredited by the Council on Education of the Deaf (CED) as a Comprehensive Program. Students are required to take courses in American Sign Language as well as courses in clinical audiology and auditory-oral approaches.
