Film Studies Graduate to Participate at Cinestory Retreat in CA
TU Film Studies alum Elena Fisher has recently been invited to participate in the highly competitive Cinestory Retreat, a 4-day intensive workshop held in Idyllwild, CA. During the retreat, invitees receive one-on-one sessions with Cinestory mentors, as well as informal sessions during which they may discuss everything from story structure to pitching.
Cinestory mentors from recent years include Mark Fergus (writer/director, COWBOYS & ALIENS, CHILDREN OF MEN), Keith Gordon (writer/director, DEXTER, WAKING THE DEAD) and Bruce McKenna (writer/director, BAND OF BROTHERS, THE PACIFIC), among many others.
It's a tremendous honor and a great way for Elena to transition to the industry as she makes her move to Los Angeles later this month. Elena plans to relocate in time to attend the world premiere of QUIVERA, the first feature from fellow Film Studies alum, Kevin Kisling, held Sept. 8 at the United Film Festival in Los Angeles.
