Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Students have a range of opportunities to enhance their studies by quality internships at local corporations or production facilities, producing and making films for profit and non-profit organizations, including museums. Students can also be assistant instructors for high school summer film institutes. The Department matches students with interested companies which are seeking interns. The Department values internships as potential avenues to employment.

The Department sponsors the student film festival HurriCinema in May each year, where student films, cues, and scores are presented. Student films maybe viewed on the Film Studies Student Organization website.

Since Film is a global business, the Department encourages students to be involved in Study Abroad programs. The Global Education division of the University has a list of programs available for Film Studies majors.
