Dr. Brian Hosmer has had a full summer schedule for talks, book publishing, research contracts, and he has scheduled and developed new agendas for fall and spring 2011.

Summer 2010

Brian Hosmer delivered talks on Indians in Oklahoma:

  • to the Cherokee Strip Historical Association on Indians in Oklahoma during Reconstruction
  • for a pre-college workshop for American Indian students here at TU

Dr. Hosmer's current publications:

Over the summer Brian was contracted by the U.S. Department of Justice to conduct research on the drafting and implementation of the Indian New Deal.

Fall 2010

Dr. Hosmer has been scheduled in October to offer a talk on American Indians and American History as viewed through portraiture for the Gilcrease Museun in connection with its exhibit "America:  Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of a Nation."

Spring 2011

He has developed a new class course for the spring semester:  American Indian Environmental History
