Russian students gathered to celebrate Slavic holiday
On October 14, 2011, the University of Tulsa Russian Club celebrated the ancient Slavic holiday of Radogosh – a festival dedicated to the beginning of fall and a giving of thanks for a plentiful harvest (an idea similar to American Thanksgiving). The fun bash featured a Radogosh-themed play with student actors, savory ethnic cuisine, light-hearted fortune-telling, games, and dancing. It brought together nearly 60 guests from 13 countries – all under the roof of the cozy, yet swanky Norman Village clubhouse.
