ACTFL - OPI: American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages
- November 12-15 2001 in Washington, D.C. I attended a four-day seminar on Oral Proficiency Training (OPI) in learning to assess how well a language is spoken according to the criteria put forth in ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. Upon completion of the workshop, I was better able to apply key principles of teaching and testing proficiency to curriculum, instruction and assessment, and determine student placement, progress and performance.

- As an active member of SISTER CITIES PROGRAM, I presented an antique map of Picardy on behalf of Alliance Française de Tulsa to Bill LaFortune, Tulsa Mayor, at the official signing ceremony on October 27, 2005.
