The University of Tulsa presents The Welch Collection 2012 Lecture Series.

  • Nov. 4-5

This year's series, "Celebrating the Life of the Mind and the Service of God," features worship and presentations from guest speakers Dr. J. Andrew Dearman, a minister in the Presbyterian Church USA and director of Houston's Fuller Theological Seminary regional campus; Dr. Timothy George, founding dean and professor of divinity at Beeson Divinity School, Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.; and Dr. Andrew Purves, a minister ordained by Philadelphia Presbytery and a professor of theology at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

The Welch Family Foundation's Special Collection of Reform, Renewal and Evangelical Theology is a collection of works that enhances TU's historic relationship with the Presbyterian Church USA. Established in 2001 by Charles and Peggy Welch, the purpose of the collection is to gather works of theologians who have contributed significantly to reform, renewal and evangelical witness in the Christian tradition.

The Welch Collection 2012 Lecture Series is free and open to the public. However, organizers request all attendees to register.
