Our Faculty and Staff
The faculty members in the Sociology Department are active in local, national, and international networks. They produce books, articles, and reports on a wide range of social issues, some addressing social policy, and others trying to further “knowledge for knowledge’s sake.” Topics include environmentalism, homelessness, health care, and educational change.

Associate Professor of Sociology
Professor Blocker’s work on environmental values and on social movements has been published in mainstream sociology journals (Social Forces, Social Science Quarterly) as well as in specialized journals (Journal for the Social Scientific Study of Religion, Environment and Behavior, Youth and Society).
