The University of Tulsa’s fall theatre schedule opens with “Fantasticks,” a family favorite spoof of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” which closed last year as the longest running musical in Broadway history.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 9-11 and 16-18, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 and 19, in Kendall Hall on the TU campus. There will be special school matinees at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10 and 17. Parking is available at Fifth Place and Florence Avenue.
“Fantasticks” opened in New York on May 3, 1960, and closed January 13, 2002 after more than 17,000 performances.
