Graduate and Professional Programs




Our graduate degrees are designed to emphasize the acquisition and practice of technical skills, with students specializing in one media of their choice and working with one major professor. In addition, the curriculum is designed to encourage students to explore disciplines other than art as a means to inform their work.

The programs in Art offers the following degrees:

  • M.F.A. in Art with emphases in the studio areas of ceramics, painting, photography and printmaking (60 hours).
  • M.A. in Art with emphases in the studio areas of ceramics, painting, photography printmaking, and graphic design (36 hours).
  • M.T. A. degree offered through the Department of Education (36 hours, divided evenly between Education and Art).
