Paul Davis Artist Lecture

Tulsa native and internationally known artist Paul Davis will lecture on the TU campus on November 1.
After attending New York’s School of Visual Arts (SVA) on a Scholastic Magazine scholarship, Davis established himself as a reputable illustrator and graphic designer. He worked at Push Pin Studios in New York City, and his distinctive style has drawn attention to the covers and pages of magazines around the world.
Davis has held solo exhibitions in galleries and museums across the United States, Europe and Asia including retrospectives in Japan in 1975 and 1987 as well as the opening of the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 1977. He is a member of the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame and the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame. A fellow of Rome’s American Academy, Davis has received doctoral degrees from SVA and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Davis will review student portfolios in the TU School of Art prior to the lecture. The event is free and open to the public.
