Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Undergraduate Research Opportunities
All music majors complete a Senior Project. These projects are determined by the student in consultation with music faculty, and these usually involve aspects of research, performance, and community service. Senior Projects in music have covered topics ranging from video game music to liturgical music history and performance.
Music majors also have the opportunity to participate in the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge (TURC) program. Past participants in TURC have produced research projects on world music and music theory, and have achieved publication of their work in such scholarly journals as THE JOURNAL FOR MUSIC THEORY PEDAGOGY.
