Accreditation Vision

The Vision

The University of Tulsa will be nationally recognized as one of the country’s top 50 universities, and will be an institution of choice for highly qualified students.

In order for TU to be recognized as one of the country’s top 50 universities, the following goals must be accomplished:

  • Annual recruitment of an undergraduate freshman class of 700 students, 65% of whom are in the top 10% of their high school class and have an average ACT score of 28 (average SAT composite of 1250 to 1270).
  • An undergraduate freshman retention rate of 90% and a graduation rate of 80% with a total student body of 4,800.
  • An endowment of $1 billion.
  • A compensation program that places TU’s average faculty salaries in the top 20% of the appropriate university category, and management and staff pay in the top one-third in the greater Tulsa area.
  • Student-centered responsiveness from the administration, faculty, and staff so that TU is seen by all as a model of quality service with an ideal environment in which to study, teach, conduct research, and work.
  • A residential campus with state-of-the-art facilities to support teaching, research, creative activity, and student life.
