Tulsa Festivals

There's something about a big outdoor festival that just means good times. And you could almost call Tulsa "The Festival City"!

Mayfest is an annual arts festival with dozens of artists displaying their unique creations. The streets of downtown Tulsa fill with music, dance, and art.

Also in May is the annual Bluesfest in downtown Tulsa. Local, regional, and national blues artists like Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Shemekia Copeland play non-stop on three stages over two days.

Every September, plaid gets very trendy in Tulsa when the Oklahoma Scottish Games take place in Chandler Park, high on a bluff overlooking the downtown skyline. Don't miss the caber tossing!

It's not Fall in Tulsa without the Tulsa State Fair. In addition to the midway, exhibits, and crafts booths, you'll also find top-name entertainment several nights of the Fair. And the Fairgrounds? Just a mile from campus. You can practically walk!

The sounds of European folk bands and the aromas of international foods fill the west bank of the Arkansas River every year for Oktoberfest. It's so popular among TU students that the Student Association sponsors a shuttle to the festival grounds!

That doesn't even begin to cover all the festivals in town! There's also the Edgefest rock music festival, the Juneteenth Celebration with live gospel, blues and jazz music, the Greek Holiday Festival with food and dancing, and many more!
