Pre-College Workshop for Native American Students

Spend 48 hours on a college campus to become a more knowledgeable college bound student!
June 8-10, 2014
This compact, 2-day residential workshop on a college campus is designed to give high school students the tools to navigate their way through the college admission process. Sessions will include test prep, creating a student resume', the application process, how decisions are made, scholarship opportunities, researching colleges, a perspective on Native American history, and more.

- Native American students who have just completed their freshman, sophomore, or junior year of high school
- Fees – $80/student *Included are overnight accommodations for Sunday, June 8, 2014 and Monday, June 9, 2014 in a TU residence hall; six meals (dinner on Sunday and Monday; breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday); materials; entertainment; admission to the Gilcrease Museum; and t-shirt.
This workshop is co-sponsored The University of Tulsa and the Choctaw Scholarship Advisement Program.
Interested students must apply. Submit by May 24, 2014. Complete the application form and return with an $80 check or money order made payable to The University of Tulsa with “Pre-College Workshop” written on the memo line. Mail to:

Students should plan to arrive between 1:00 – 1:30 on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Check out will be between 1:30 – 2:00 on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. A detailed schedule, as well as required liability release/permission forms and emergency forms will be mailed upon receipt of registration materials. All required forms must be submitted prior to the workshop.
