Duties of the Position: Our work studies are required to do a multitude of assignments. They offer clerical support for the departments faculty, this could include photocopies, typing, database input, checking library for needed reference materials. The work studies also distribute the mail and UPS deliveries. They often have to input information on forms, logs or databases on the computer. They will on occasion post fliers on campus. They assist visitors with locating faculty, getting students online for placement tests, and general receptionist duties. Our FWS will maintain and clean computers, install printer paper nd ink, print special jobs, and clear jammed printers. There are general housekeeping chores required, keeping lobby orderly, cleaning the equipment in classrooms, keeping work room and mail room clean and clutter free. They are responsible for posting the semester schedules on the designated classrooms and will post all course cancelation notices.

Skills Required to Perform the Position: Good computer skills, ability to work with little supervision, word processing, and databases. Use of computers, copiers, scanners and printers. Dependability is a plus. This student must be adaptable and willing to do whatever is assigned at the time (with proper instruction of course).
