Title of Student Position: Faculty Assistant III

Number of students requested to fill above position:  1

Preference will be given to Deaf Education majors.

Duties:  Manage Deaf TU club activities, coordinate events, meeting rooms and refreshments, maintain Deaf Community Calendar on Blackboard for practicum and ASL students, assist with MKCC clinic Medicaid billing as needed, serves as interpreter for deaf faculty members, serve as teacher assistant to adjunct ASL III and ASL IV instructors--grades quizzes, maintain database of deaf education majors and minors, and other duties as requested.

Skills Required to Perform the Position: Intermediate ASL Skills (completion of ASL IV), experience as an interpreter in social situations, knowledge of Blackboard, knowledge or willingness to learn Medicaid billing system, MS Office, etc.

Recommended Student Classification Level: Level III
