Duties of the Position: Assist with planning, implementation, and assessment of all TU fall and spring Parent's Weekend, spring and summer Orientation programs, winter and spring Commencement ceremonies; various new student events occurring throughout the academic year including the Freshmen Leadership Institute, Finals Week Stress Free Zone, and Phi Eta Sigma. Specifically, these duties include creating registration forms, assisting in the creation of event databases, processing and maintaining registration forms in database, assisting parents and students over the phone and in person, calling to solicit donations from local businesses for parent's weekend and orientation; assist with retention statistics for first year students; assist with entering and analyzing assessments from orientation programs and parent's weekend; assisting with the Freshman Leadership Institute and Parent's Newsletter; filing; photocopying; running campus-wide errands; answering multi-line telephones; miscellaneous office duties; typing; receptionist duties; creating forms on the computer; assisting office staff with marketing, registration, and implementation of new student and parent programs and events; and other duties as assigned.
Skills Required to Perform the Position: Strong public relations skills; knowledge of the University and it's policies; creativity; computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Publisher, access); multi-line telephone knowledge; fax machine; photocopying, typing; customer service skills.
