Title of Student Position: Art Assistant
Number of students requested to fill above position: 1
Duties of the Position: Teach girls basic to advanced visual art skills of various mediums and disciplines; teach girls greater "life skills" standard to prepare for events, but also may vary by girls as needs arise; provide coaching and counsel and even discipline as situations arise; provide positive reinforcement and build self- esteem and confidence; attend field trips through the year (varies each year); go with Executive Director and Art Teacher to pick up girls from school--WILL NOT be required to drive; provide direction to volunteers at events throughout the year; provide guidance and expertise to board and volunteers in resolving problems or concerns before, during and after events; identify events each year to participate in within the community (some are regular like Mayfest); build relationships with other local/national organizations who help TGAS cause; gain commitment from donors and sponsors who provide free goods and services to the organization; social media, i.e. facebook, twitter.
Skills Required to Perform the Position: Must be able to work with all ages and backgrounds of people from students to board to volunteers. Must have the desire and ability to motivate, inspire, and develop others. Must be able to create/keep a positive environment through the motivation and development of others.

Beginning and Ending Dates of the Position: August 20, 2012-May 9, 2013
Hours Per Week: 15; M-Th 3:30-5:30 or 4:00-6:00; Saturday 9:00-2:00
