Special Projects Intern

Duties of the Position: The intern will have the responsibility of working with Tulsa Global Alliance standing committees of the Board of Directors that provide international programming. This work will be coordinated by Tulsa Global Alliance staff. Special projects for 2012 include: International Business Breakfast Seminars co-produced with the TU Collins College of Business, Global Vision Awards Dinner in May; Savoring Sister Cities annual event; International Women's Day event; and International Education Week Library event celebrating Tulsa's eight Sister Cities. Ongoing projects are hosting visitors from Sister Cities, productions of "passports" about Sister Cities; monthly newsletters; support of the Culture Box program and other public relations projects.
Skills Required to Perform the Position: Ability to contact companies, organizations, and people to make arrangements for events; assist in event setup; learn new software and build Excel reports; write and create publicity articles and printed pieces; be versatile and flexible.
Office Equipment: MacPro, Creative Suite 4 with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Illustrator, IBM Thinkpad, Windows XP, Office 2007.
