Duties of the Position: The successful candidate will work directly with the Kendall Whittier Community School Coordinator. Their duties will include, but are not limited to, organizing, preparation and management of current Out of School Time Activities; assembling and analyzing information from previous Out of School Time sessions, and helping to develop, organize and manage a volunteer contact and management process which will be created to help keep school volunteers and school staff better informed. They may also be asked to accompany students on short field trips or even help in the Out of School Time activities when needed.
Skills Required to Perform the Position: Ability to work with children. It is important for the candidate to have an interest in elementary aged youth, and the ability to build and maintain good interpersonal relationships with adults, as well as students which include good oral communication skills. Also, candidate must have good organizational skills and be familiar with MS Excel and Word.
